Kindergarten Chaos!

Well Wednesday was a huge milestone in the Read family, we sent our first youngin’ to Kindergarten. She was very excited and I was happy- also a little sad. I am so excited for her to make new friends and learn news things and continue to grow into the beautiful young lady she is turning out to be but, I also miss the little girl she was. My, how time flies!! We are so excited to begin this new chapter of our lives. The day started out smooth, we had plenty of time to talk and get her prepared for her big day! She didn't seem to be nervous at all, maybe just a little impatient. Once it was time to leave she was so excited and out the door in no time, however once we started walking closer to the school and you could hear the kids playing, I noticed that her pace slowed down dramatically. It was then that I could tell she was really nervous. Luckily, she saw an old friend from preshchool there so that really helped to liven her up again!! The school is in walking distance of our house which makes it really nice, and convienient. As we entered the area where the kindergarteners were lining up, I instantly began to feel like I had entered into the land of nuttyville. The noise level began to rise and all around me I could
hear screaming, crying and of course my favorite; "Look over here, smile over
here! Smile for the camera!" Every where I turned I was bumping into a camera crazy mom! It was pure chaos!! Those poor teachers were trying to get all the kids lined up to go to class but were having a very difficult time because of all the chaos!! Swayzie remained calm and was just trying to soak everything in. She followed her class to their room and that's when I started to choke up a little, Hudson started crying too!! When I picked her up at 10:45 she had so much to tell me making sure to include every detail!! So, the day turned out to be a hit after all, I just can't believe I have a kid in school. Crazy. Swayzie LOVES kindergarten and has a really good teacher, Mrs. Gibbs. There are a couple kids in her class from Primary and that has really helped. She is learning and making friends so quickly. We could not be more proud of our little Swayzalicous!!
