Road Trip (Part 1)

We decided to take a family roadtrip through Utah and into Idaho to visit family and stay with Uncle Kirk and Aunt Judy in Nampa, Idaho. We knew that the roadtrip had the potential to get wreckless really quick, however we actually minimized the DVD intake and enjoyed the family bonding. We had hesitations about Summit being only 2 months old, but he proved to be a trooper and rarely made a peep. We made several stops along the way to take advantage of beautiful weather and scenery that doesn't grace Arizona this time of the year.

A quick stop in Duck Creek, Utah on the way to see Grandma and Grandpa Slack. The trees were turning all types of colors.
A stop in Kanab, Utah - Harbor is maintaining her rank in the top 10 scrappiest children in the country.
The kids had a blast exploring at the renovated Kanab park....pretty fancy.

We also took a quick stop in Page at the Lake Powell crossing. The kids had fun checking out the visitors center at the dam. Mom and Dad were scared of the view, so we cut the stop short.
Harbor is pretending that she is scared.

You can see cousin Owen in the back seat sitting next to Swayzie. We picked him up in Sandy, UT after much persuasion with Rachel. He spent the entire week with us in Idaho and the kids had a blast. Nice neck/chin Harbor.
Mommy and Summit spending some snuggle time on a quick pit stop.
The beatiful Kanab, Utah.

I LOVE these photos--we just spent General Conf. weekend with some friends at a cabin in Duck Creek--so gorgeous. Mom/Dad said they had a blast with you and of course mom couldn't get enough of Summit :-) Hopefully we'll see each other soon--we need to go camping sometime! Tell Justi hi and give the kiddos a squeeze!
