Swayzie's Primary Talk

Swayzie gave one of the two talks in the Primary program this year. They asked her to talk about her favorite story of Jesus, she decided to talk about His resurrection to the Nephites (3 Nephi 8-17). It took a week of practice and a little bribery but she totally nailed it! We had family there for support, both sets of Granparents and Rocky and Stacey and Meagan were there so we were nervous for Swayzie and hoped that she would live up to the hype. We had no idea that she was going to receive the amount of attention that she did from the ward throughout the remainder of our church meetings, her primary class asked her to give a bow in front of the junior primary because they told her she won the award for the best performance, and of course she decided to curtsy instead. She worked so hard, so it was so great for her to see the outcome and such a positive response from all of the primary kids. On Monday, we told her that if she could memorize it before Sunday, she could pick out any dress she liked. She had it memorized by Wednesday and we picked out the dress on Friday. Swayzie looked absolutely beautiful and it was a very proud moment for our family. Hudson had to listen to the talk so many times that he was also able to pick up quite a bit from it! So everytime Swayzie would practice it, he would say; "now it's my turn!" Poor guy, he was probably so sick of hearing it! Hudson and Harbor can thank Swayzie in years to come for setting the bar so high!
