Hudson has been playing football for a couple months now and is just getting ready to finish up the season. He has had a great time and we will miss going to his practices and games, but we are kind of looking forward to it as well. My sweet little boy just isn't cut out for football, he has changed quite a bit and has gotten into some trouble recently, we believe as a result of it. He was sent to the Responsibility Center at school twice in one week for tackling other boys during recess, it has definitely made him more aggressive, which isn't really a good thing. We've talked to a few friends about Hudson's coach, but for those of you who haven't heard the great stories, I'll share a few...
His Coach is seriously straight out of a Ben Stiller movie. His first day of practice, we were running a bit late from picking up his buddy and trying to find the park. When we arrived I had him and his friend, Eli run out to the field while I unloaded the rest of the crew. The next thing I hear is his coach calling out to Hudson and Eli, asking if they had a good excuse as to why they were late. Honestly, we were no more than five minutes late. Then he tells them to drop and give him ten. These are five year old boys, we're talking about!? I really thought he was joking. After they had done a few warm ups, he decides to have his son give the other boys a demonstration on another drill. His five year old boy, rips off his shirt, rolls his shoulders around, rocks his head back and forth like he's warming up for the Superbowl. Then joggs in place and drops to the floor, it was one of the funniest things I had ever seen. He took himself so serious, and honestly I was surprised at how good he was!
